The Cherries will enter the Carabao Cup at the third round, featuring in both a pre-draw and the main draw due to their Europa League involvement.
According to Bournemouth Echo, the third round will be staged across the weeks beginning seven and 14 September, with scheduling shaped by European commitments.
Because UEFA matches cannot move, clubs are split into two pots. Pot one contains Bournemouth, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Sunderland, the sides in the Champions League and Europa League. The other 24 teams make up pot two.
A pre-draw on Wednesday, 26 August will decide whether the pot-one clubs are at home or away, confirming if Bournemouth are at Dean Court. The first eight ties in the main draw will then pair those eight with opponents from pot two. The final eight ties will be drawn from the 16 remaining in pot two.
The pre-draw is scheduled for about 7.20pm on Sky Sports before Preston North End face Everton, with the main draw around 10.15pm after the game. Both take place the same evening.
Marco Rose’s side are set to play in the first of the two weeks, as their Europa League campaign begins in the second. Champions League teams will instead play their League Cup ties in the second week, with their first European fixtures falling in the first.
