Sevilla are closely watching Carlos Álvarez’s future at Levante, with the former academy playmaker down to one year on his deal. Holding 30% of his economic rights, the club could profit if he is sold.

SER Deportivos Valencia reports that Levante are working on a renewal and, if no agreement is found, he will be put up for sale this summer. Sevilla are monitoring developments.

Transfermarkt values Álvarez at €15 million. Benfica offered €20 million last summer, when Sevilla’s stake stood at 40%.

Levante’s tight salary limit will force sales, with Karl Etta Eyong, Carlos Espí and Álvarez among those attracting interest. Sevilla would prefer a sale now rather than a free exit when his deal ends.

Marca states Sevilla will receive €75,000 after RC Deportivo de La Coruña’s promotion activated a €250,000 obligatory purchase for Luismi Cruz from CD Tenerife. Sevilla owned 30% of his rights.

That payment is modest, but it complements planning while the club await a possible Álvarez resolution that could bring far greater funds this summer.
