Carlos Miguel, Andreas Pereira and Murilo stood out as Palmeiras drew with Corinthians in the derby, with the goalkeeper pivotal to the result. Ratings reflected a sturdy back line and set-piece threat, but a blunt attack.
According to Globo.com, Carlos Miguel was loudly booed by Corinthians fans yet denied Yuri Alberto one-on-one in the second half, and handled the press with his feet.
Murilo, viewed as the pick of the defence, stayed calm under pressure and helped build from deep. Gustavo Gómez was typically reliable and posed problems in the air at attacking set pieces.
Andreas Pereira’s deliveries unsettled Corinthians and he was involved in the incident that saw André sent off. He also went close from a free-kick, saved by Hugo Souza.
Giay misplaced passes and struggled against Kayke’s speed before making way for Luighi, who missed a late chance to win it. Khellven, used out of position, later gave way to Arthur, who produced a dangerous effort.
Marlon Freitas organised and added steel, though his long passing dipped and he was booked late on. Lucas Evangelista threatened as the spare man, while Allan improved with the extra player and nearly earned a penalty. Maurício linked midfield to attack and tested Hugo Souza from range before being withdrawn.
Ramón Sosa injected pace without a decisive moment. Flaco López battled against Gustavo Henrique and Gabriel Paulista, drew Matheuzinho’s red card, and headed a good opportunity over.
With Abel Ferreira suspended, João Martins took charge. He added mobility through Sosa but, as in Barranquilla, Palmeiras struggled to create and could not force a winner despite the advantage.
