"I have played in both and you see players here you will never see in Hypermotion. I would say physically it is at the level of LaLiga, or even a little above, quality aside. It is a very powerful division."
He was speaking to AS. The Birmingham City winger joined from Deportivo Alavés in the winter window and is from Zaragoza.
"The facilities and resources clubs have are well above our country in general, and I am not just talking about Birmingham. In terms of play, the rhythm is very intense, but matches are more scrappy, more direct, with more physicality, more pressing and plenty of aerial play."
Hypermotion is Spain’s second tier.
His remarks have stirred debate in Spain, where comparisons between the leagues have resurfaced. Some see the Championship’s growth in recent years, while others argue LaLiga still leads for technical quality and talent.
