Carlos Vinicius leads Grêmio card count for first half of 2026

According to Globo.com, Grêmio collected 92 cards in 37 matches in the first half of 2026, with Carlos Vinicius and Viery leading on nine apiece, each with eight yellows and one red. Viery has since joined Fiorentina.
The 21-year-old centre-back recorded four yellows in the Brasileirão, two in the Gauchão and two in the Sul-Americana. His dismissal came in Gre-Nal 452, in the 11th round of the league.
Vinicius, noted for a fiery on-field temperament, has three yellows in the Brasileirão, three in the Gauchão and two in the Sul-Americana. His red arrived in the continental competition against City Torque after protesting to the referee.
Eight other Grêmio players have been sent off. Wagner Leonardo saw red twice, against São Paulo in round two of the league and in the return leg of the Gauchão final. Goalkeeper Thiago Beltrame was dismissed against Corinthians on his professional debut at the Arena, the final match before the World Cup pause.
In third place is Pavon, shifted from winger to full-back in 2026, on seven cards, six yellows and one red. Others on five include Wagner Leonardo, Noriega and Enamorado, while a cluster sit on four, among them Luís Castro, André Henrique, Gabriel Mec, Leonel Pérez and Marcos Rocha.
