Carol Gil called up for Brazil women's friendlies

Coach Arthur Elias called up São Paulo defender Carol Gil on Monday (5) for the friendlies against Argentina during the October FIFA international window. She replaces Corinthians player Thais Ferreira, who is experiencing discomfort in her left knee that limits her ability to play.

The women’s national team will face Argentina on Saturday (10) at 4:30 p.m. at Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre, and on October 13 at 8:30 p.m. at Arena Pernambuco in Recife. The players have already begun arriving in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul to start training.
