Up next for Manchester United in the Premier League is the all-important clash against noisy neighbours Manchester City on Sunday.
Ruben Amorim, who is under a lot of pressure, will need all hands on deck to come away from the Etihad with a memorable result.
Already, an injury cloud hangs over Old Trafford with the participation of both Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount still uncertain.
But there is good news as according to The Daily Mail, Casemiro is returning early from international duty, to rejoin training at Carrington in preparation for the Manchester derby.
The Brazilian saw yellow against in Brazil’s 3-0 win over Chile on Friday night, which meant he was suspended for the tie against Bolivia.
Carlo Ancelotti, who explained what a huge miss the ex-Real Madrid star will be, gave the 33-year-old permission to return to Manchester to help Amorim in the build-up to the all-important tie.
“Casemiro is back training at Carrington ahead of Sunday’s Manchester derby at the Etihad after he was suspended for Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Bolivia.
“The United midfielder’s booking in a 3-0 win over Chile on Friday meant that he was ruled out of Brazil’s game in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
“Rather than spend any more time in South America, Casemiro was given permission to leave camp and return to Manchester in preparation to face City.”
The five-time Champions League winner has become an integral part of Amorim’s plans after a difficult few months at the start of his tenure.
The Brazil international has started all three league games, ahead of Manuel Ugarte and is expected to keep his place for the game against Pep Guardiola’s side.
Hopefully, the increased rest and training will do him and his team a world of good on Sunday. United fans will be counting on him.
