Leaders Castellón host in-form Tenerife on Saturday at 18:30 in Liga Hypermotion, with top spot on the line. Tenerife can join them at the summit with a win.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Castellón are the only unbeaten side and sit on 13 points, one ahead of Eibar and three clear of Mallorca, Tenerife and Las Palmas.
Castellón report only one absentee, Fabrizio Brignani, who is not in the squad. Pablo Hernández is expected to keep the XI that won at Girona last time out. This week also marks one year of Hernández in charge of his hometown club.
Álvaro Cervera’s visitors have 10 points from 15 on their return after a spell in Primera Federación. Both teams combine solid attacks with strong defence, hosts 7 scored and 2 conceded, visitors 7 and 3.
Tenerife won their last visit 2-1 in 2024-25. The recent head-to-head favours the chicharreros, three wins and one draw in the last five, including two victories in Valencia.
