The 200 away allocation for FC Andorra v CD Castellón on Sunday 11 October sold out within minutes. Demand far outstripped supply for the trip to the Principality.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, 60 of the 200 seats fall under LaLiga’s Aficiones Unidas programme, which is outside Castellón’s control and handled by the Aspecas supporters’ group. The remaining 140 were offered to season-ticket holders and were snapped up quickly.

The surge in demand reflected the appetite for the journey, with many expecting a sizeable away following. Andorra’s relative proximity, the October holiday weekend and Castellón’s excellent form, with the team top of Segunda División today, all fed interest.

Many fans who missed out had planned to travel and try to buy in other areas of the ground. That option was closed after FC Andorra informed Castellón it would not sell to away fans in home sections and would not enable online sales for those seats.

Castellón voiced its disagreement on Friday, saying both fanbases should be able to share the stands without issue. The club advises supporters not to travel without a ticket for the away sector, as access to the stadium is not guaranteed.
