CBF has set the home and away order for the Copa do Brasil semi-finals, and Palmeiras will decide their tie away from home. The federation announced the schedule on Thursday.

Palmeiras meet Vasco at home in the opener, with the second leg in Rio de Janeiro. In the other bracket, Grêmio host Atlético-MG first, with Atlético-MG hosting the second leg.

The sequence increases the weight of the first match for Abel Ferreira’s side, who can seek an early advantage in front of their fans before the away decider.

In the Brasileirão, Palmeiras beat Vasco 4-1. Flaco López scored twice, Vitor Roque and Maurício added the others, and Colidio replied late for Vasco.

Palmeiras have ended every Copa do Brasil knockout away so far. They played second legs away against Jacuipense and Fortaleza, then drew 0-0 at Santos at Vila Belmiro to progress in the quarter-finals. The pattern now continues against Vasco.

First legs are pencilled in for 31 October or one November, with the second legs set for seven or eight November. Exact dates and kick-off times will be confirmed by CBF.
