Copa do Brasil semi-final hosts set as Grêmio and Palmeiras drawn first at home

The Copa do Brasil semi-final hosts are set after a draw in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday morning. The federation announced that Grêmio and Palmeiras will host the first legs, with Atlético-MG and Vasco at home in the returns.
The ties are slated around one and eight November. Less than a month will separate the semi-finals and the one-off final on six December in Brasília at Arena Mané Garrincha. Both finalists will qualify for the 2027 Libertadores.
First legs, Grêmio v Atlético-MG and Palmeiras v Vasco. Second legs, Atlético-MG v Grêmio and Vasco v Palmeiras.
All four clubs have lifted the trophy before, Grêmio five, Palmeiras four, Atlético-MG two and Vasco one.
The 2026 edition began in February with 126 clubs. Seven knockout rounds later, four remain, all from Série A, entering in the fifth phase. Palmeiras eliminated Jacuipense, Fortaleza and Santos, Vasco beat Paysandu, Fluminense and Vitória, Grêmio ousted Confiança, Mirassol and Inter, Atlético-MG knocked out Ceará, Juventude and Cruzeiro.
Prize money includes R$ two million for the fifth phase, R$ three million for the round of 16, R$ four million for the quarter-finals, R$ nine million for the semi-finals, R$ 34 million for the runners-up and R$ 78 million for the winners.
