CBF moves Vasco v Corinthians final kick-off at Maracanã forward by 30 minutes

CBF announced on Tuesday that the Copa do Brasil decider between Vasco da Gama and Corinthians at the Maracanã has had its kick-off brought forward by 30 minutes to 18:00 Brasília time this Sunday.

The match had originally been scheduled for 18:30. The adjustment is intended to aid event logistics.

Before that, the first leg is on Wednesday at 21:30 at Neo Química Arena in São Paulo, the opening 90 minutes of the tie.

Ticket demand has surged. Sales opened on Tuesday morning and, in just over four hours, 30 thousand seats for the home decider were bought exclusively by members.

Vasco return to a Copa do Brasil final after 14 years, aiming to emulate their 2011 triumph. Corinthians have sold out the opener and are seeking to end a 16-year wait in the competition.
