CBF sets Flamengo v Botafogo and Remo for 16:00 Sunday kick-offs | OneFootball

The Brazilian Football Confederation confirmed on Friday the 14th that rounds 25 and 26 have been set, with Flamengo to face Botafogo and Remo on Sundays at 16:00 Brasília time.

Flamengo host Botafogo at Maracanã on 30/08 at 16:00, then visit Remo at Mangueirão on 06/09 at 16:00.

The next two rounds had been confirmed weeks ago, with Flamengo away to Mirassol on Sunday the 16th at 18:30 Brasília time, then Cruzeiro at Mineirão on the 22nd at 20:30.

Elsewhere in round 25, Vasco meet Cruzeiro on Saturday the 29th at 21:20, while Athletico-PR play Fluminense at 11:00 the following day. In round 26, Fluminense v Vasco is slated for Saturday the fifth at 21:00.

Some supporters had noted Flamengo’s absence from the traditional 16:00 slot, but the Botafogo and Remo fixtures return to that window, with free-to-air coverage.

Flamengo had not played a weekend 16:00 game since round 18, the last before the World Cup pause, when they beat Coritiba 3-0 at Maracanã. They have played that slot only twice in this Brasileirão, the other being a 2-2 draw with Vasco.

In both rounds, Palmeiras are scheduled to play later. If Flamengo win both matches, the results could increase pressure on the league leaders.
