Ceará visit after derby draw, feature four ex-Corinthians players

After being defeated by RB Bragantino in the previous round, Corinthians returns home to face Ceará in the 33rd round of the Brasileirão. The northeastern team comes from a win and a draw in the championship – the latter being in the classic against Fortaleza. The match kicks off at Neo Química Arena at 4 PM (Brasília time).

For this match, the team led by Léo Condé has four former Corinthians players available. There would be five, but Pedro Raul is unavailable due to contractual issues, as he still belongs to Timão. The former Corinthians players are: defender Marllon, right-back Rafael Ramos, midfielder Matheus Araújo, and forward Pedro Henrique.

According to GE, only the forward will start for Ceará against Corinthians, while the other three are expected to be on the bench. In the first round, when Timão won 1-0, Marllon and Matheus Araújo took to the field and reunited with the club.

With the round underway, the game between Corinthians and Ceará has become a direct confrontation. Even with three more points on the table, Timão is just one position above Vozão, which has 39 points. However, in case of a Corinthians victory, the gap increases to six, and Dorival Júnior's team could enter the G8.
