Manchester United Women’s Celin Bizet has spoken to the club’s official website about the latest chapter in her life.
The Norwegian joined the Red Devils in 2024 from Tottenham Hotspur.
She has played 37 times for United, scoring seven goals in the process.
Nonetheless, she has only played eight games this season after it was announced that she was pregnant.
Obviously, Bizet will be out of action for the foreseeable future, but she is still a presence around the training ground.
Speaking to the club’s site, she said, “it’s nice to feel fresher when I come into the gym, do things you normally do, go on the pitch, be a part of the group, not just disappear! I go home every day with a good feeling, telling myself, ‘I trained today’. I’m happy, with the girls, it’s lovely vibes. Just watching games and everything, being a part still!”
Clearly, the Norwegian is not involved in any contact sessions but is still involved in passing drills and warm-ups.
Commenting on her training schedule, she asserted, “I’m getting loads of help, like all of them are so supportive and really want me to develop, even though I’m pregnant. Me and the physical coaches have been through a lot, and yeah, we have a really good schedule, to be fair.”
Bizet is not the first United star to get pregnant while playing at the club, as Hannah Blundell missed the entire 2024-2025 season owing to her pregnancy but returned to action in November.
Commenting on having Blundell’s experience to go by, she said, “it’s such a motivation seeing Han, what she’s been through, and seeing her smashing the fitness tests on the pitch now after having her baby. It gives me a lot of motivation, it gave all the people motivation – [for Hannah] to still train and be a part of the team, even though you’re pregnant.”
The 24-year-old continued, “it shouldn’t be like, if you’re pregnant, that you shouldn’t be a part of the team. You see it is important, you will be back at some point. Yeah, it’s been great support from everyone, and Hannah’s been an inspiration.”
Bizet also highlighted that while it is not normal for people so young to have children, she claimed it was healthy to do so and that she is looking forward to making a return to action in even stronger condition than before.
She stated, “obviously, it’s not a normal job, but I can still be healthy, as I said, like train, I get breakfast and lunch every day. I’m a couple of months [along] now, but still I’m working hard. I’m just very grateful, being around this team, being pregnant, they have been so respectful to me and the pregnancy. I feel very grateful.”
United Women will next be in action when they host arch rivals Liverpool on Sunday.
