Fer Lopez, Wolves’ £19m summer signing, has revived his form on loan back at Celta Vigo, putting his post-season future under scrutiny.

Celta sporting director Marco Garces said: "From our perspective, it’s up to us to make every possible effort. To try and find those options, get creative, and explore possibilities until the summer is over." He told DAZN.

Lopez arrived from Celta last summer but managed only 12 appearances for Wolves, including two Premier League starts and two in the EFL Cup.

A late January move took him back to Galicia on loan, where he has featured 20 times and scored twice, including a deft outside-of-the-foot Europa League strike. He has helped the La Liga side into next season’s Conference League places while they continue to chase a Europa League berth.

With Wolves preparing a summer clear-out as they rebuild for life in the Championship, Lopez’s next step could be away from Molineux. He signed a five-year contract on arrival, with four years remaining, and Celta have made clear they want him back this summer.
