Celtic Season Ticket Alliance Trust reveals 3,000 members in major supporter update | OneFootball

Celtic Season Ticket Alliance Trust has provided an update on its bid to become a significant supporter voice at Parkhead.

Launched earlier this year with the backing of businessman Willie Haughey and Celtic legend Paul McStay, the Alliance is free to join for all 54,000 Hoops season ticket holders.

Haughey has pledged to purchase £2million worth of Celtic shares for every 10,000 season ticket holders who join, with the long-term aim of securing greater representation for match-going supporters in matters concerning the club.

The initiative was launched in February amid widespread supporter protests, and the Trust has now revealed that 3,000 season ticket holders have signed up.

That has helped the Alliance secure voting rights over 800,000 Celtic shares as it continues to build its influence.

The Trust also revealed that its main “joining campaign” has yet to begin, with that potentially set to launch in October when McStay is expected to return to Glasgow.

Providing an update on X, the Trust said: “It was always the aim of the Trust to build a substantial shareholding, and we are delighted to be making real progress towards that goal.

“Every single member can now be proud that they are part of something that has a credible shareholding”
