Celtic have sent a significant offer for World Cup star Hassiem Hassan and are working to iron out the final details to complete a deal to sign him from Real Oviedo.
The Scottish champions have added some quality to their frontline after losing Daizen Maeda to Premier League side Ipswich Town.
The arrival of Kasper Hogh has excited the fans, as the Denmark star has become Celtic’s club-record signing, while Camilo Duran is another promising arrival, joining from Qarabag.
Martin O’Neill’s side defeated Dundee in their first game of the campaign, thanks to a Benjamin Nygren goal.
O’Neill is keen for further additions, while he may also need even more fresh faces if stars such as Alistair Johnston and Arne Engels depart.

Real Oviedo’s Hassan emerged as a top target and they have been chasing the Egyptian winger all summer.
The 24-year-old wide forward impressed for Egypt in this year’s World Cup and the Bhoys are pushing to sign him.
They have not been alone in wanting to sign Hassan and only recently it was suggested he is prioritising a possible move to Marseille, but the French giants need to raise cash to sign him.
Now though Celtic look to have taken a decisive step forward in the chase.
According to Spanish journalist Juan Velazquez, the Scottish giants have sent in an offer worth €11m for the Egyptian.

On the back of having spent serious money on Hogh, Celtic are sending out another statement and aim to do it by landing Hassan.
Celtic are zeroing in on Hassan and it is claimed ‘just a few details are left to iron out’ and then the Egyptian will be Glasgow bound.
The Egypt star is ready to make a move to the Scottish giants, who could secure another big-money signing in the coming days, and has already agreed to a four-year deal with Celtic.
All eyes will be on Celtic to see whether they can secure Hassan’s signature in the coming days or whether other sides accelerate their own interest in the exciting wide-man.
