Celtic are still favourites for the Scottish Premiership title and rightly so.
Celtic are still considered to be favourites for this seasons Premiership title according to the bookmakers and rightly so.
Despite the negativity surrounding the club due to yet another lacklustre and unacceptable transfer window, we still have all the ingredients and attributes to win the our fifth consecutive title and the 56th record breaking title in our unbroken history.
We may have failed to bring in the quality players we were craving, but our squad is hardly weak, and is very much still oozing with experience and quality.
We currently sit top of the table, without conceding a goal I may add, thanks to a superb defensive backline which has looked strong since the start of pre season. An area which has been boosted by the signing of Kieran Tierney, and recent arrival Marcelo Sarrachi.
In the middle of the park we boast experienced and creative players such as Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, and Arne Engels with the newly acquired Benjamin Nygren adding an extra edge to an already talented midfield which also includes the likes of Luke McCowan and Paulo Bernardo.
It’s no secret that we have our woes in an attacking sense, but the newly acquired Michel – Ange Balikwisha, Shin Yamada, Kelechi Iheanacho, Sebastian Tounekti, and Callum Osmand should add some bite to an already proven forward line that includes Daizen Maeda, the evergreen James Forrest, Yang, and hopefully soon the returning Jota. So we really have no excuses in terms of quality and squad numbers.
We have the experience, we have the depth, and more importantly we have the quality to win yet another title. We have nothing to fear.
And don’t forget we have already opened up a six points lead on theRangers with the biggest challenge so far coming from Hearts with only goal difference separating first and second at the moment.
And remember we can rely on our board to splash the cash by showing some real ambition in the transfer window in January. Or will we be told that that’s always a difficult window?
Rinse and repeat excuses.
