Cesc Fabregas has embedded a special clause in his Como deal that would let him depart on very favourable terms if Barcelona, Arsenal or Chelsea make an approach. Aged 39, he is contracted to the Italian club until June 2028.

Sky Sports’ Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Fabregas insisted on the provision to keep room to manoeuvre should one of his former sides call. Meanwhile, Marca states he turned down several offers last summer, leaving the door open only to those three clubs.

Barcelona extended Flick’s contract in May until June 2028, with an option for an extra season. The duration reflected the German’s preference for short agreements, despite Joan Laporta seeking a longer commitment.

For now, Fabregas will continue building his Como project, with the Camp Nou dream on hold.
