According to Glorioso 1904, Como, coached by Cesc Fàbregas, are monitoring Benfica striker Franjo Ivanovic. The Serie A club sit fourth and the player rejected an approach from them last summer.

After scoring 20 goals for Union Saint-Gilloise last season, the forward drew interest from Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolverhampton, but Rui Costa convinced him to move to the Luz.

In Lisbon, minutes have been scarce under José Mourinho and he has not established himself as first choice. That influenced Zlatko Dalic to omit him from his main selections due to a lack of game time.

Even so, he remains focused on making his mark at Benfica and is not currently considering a departure, despite renewed attention from Como and interest from Brighton. His aim is to earn more minutes and a World Cup call-up.

Ivanovic is valued at 20 million euros. This season he has made 35 appearances for Benfica, 18 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 11 in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal and two in the Taça da Liga, totalling 1,169 minutes, with six goals and two assists.
