Reports are growing in Italy that Como are close to an agreement with Chelsea for Trevoh Chalobah, reaching the €30m fixed fee asking price for the defender.

He had also been heavily linked with Inter, and the subject of a pact of non-aggression between the two Serie A clubs for his signature.
However, when Inter withdrew their interest and instead focused on John Stones and Cristian Romero, it opened up the door for Como to resume negotiations.

According to both Fabrizio Romano and Calciomercato transfer pundit Daniele Longo, Como are now much closer than ever to agreeing terms with Chelsea.
The asking price had been a €30m fixed fee plus €5m in add-ons, and until now Como had been reticent to confirm that much to the guaranteed part of the deal.
They seem to be edging closer to that figure now for the 27-year-old England international centre-back.
Cesc Fabregas and his men qualified for the Champions League just two years after promotion from Serie B, an extraordinary climb up the ranks of Italian football.
