Chalobah to take injured Guehi's place in the England squad

Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is set to be called up to the England squad in the place of Marc Guéhi according to reports.

The Crystal Palace defender picked up an injury during the Eagles' 3-1 win over AZ in the Europa Conference League last week and missed the weekend's goalless draw at home to rivals Brighton.

Guehi's absence has paved the way for Chalobah to return to the England squad according to journalist Nizaar Kinsella of BBC Sport.

Thomas Tuchel managed Chalobah during his stint at Stamford Bridge and handed him his Three Lions debut in a friendly against Senegal back in June.

England will face Serbia at Wembley on Thursday evening before a trip to Albania as Tuchel's side look to complete a perfect World Cup qualifying campaign.
