Charly Alcaraz is expected to be out for a few weeks after the Argentine playmaker suffered an injury in training.
He missed out on the matchday squad to face Manchester United, a game the Blues ended up losing 1-0 at Hill Dickinson Stadium. However, the exact nature of Alcaraz’s injury hasn’t been disclosed yet.
“Charly picked up an injury in the last minute in training [on Sunday]. We’ll probably lose him for a few weeks,” David Moyes said before the clash against United.
Everton also missed their reserve goalkeeper Mark Travers on the bench against the Red Devils. Travers injured a finger in training and is doubtful to face Newcastle later this week.
Everton will welcome back Jake O’Brien to their squad against the Magpies after he was suspended against Manchester United after seeing a straight red for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity against Bournemouth.

I thought Moyes said we had everyone fit at his press conference yesterday? Do the players train on the day of the game?
Two players hurt in training on the day of the game — That's an old-fashioned way, using an old-fashioned style by an old-fashioned millionaire of a manager using old-fashioned coaches to help him fuck the squad up.

Hurt in training on Sunday, not Monday, Dave.
I'm not sure if they train on the day of the game, and then go to a hotel for the afternoon, or if they just stay at home and turn up at a designated time.
If I'm being honest, I don't see nothing wrong with doing a little light session on the day of a game, but maybe I'm a dinosaur.

Moyes doesn't use him anywa, so all Alcaraz misses is a few games warming the bench.
Too much of a maverick type player to be selected by Dour Davie. We can't have too many creative players in the team when they are expected to be back defending.

Along with Dibling, Röhl and Aznou, Charly Alcaraz appears to be destined for minimal minutes on the field for the rest of season, whether injured or not.
Excluding the two reserve goalkeepers, that's four out of eight of his own signings that Moyes happily leaves on the bench whilst playing others out of position. Inexplicable.

Moyes wasn't going to play him any time soon so no big deal for Moyes.
Where are all the Moyes adoring fans? He's supposed to be working for the betterment of the squad and club.
Fear not, fellow Evertonians.... Davey is enhancing his bank balance while we watch tripe football. He's Dyche 2.0 or fat Sam 2.0 -- take your pick.

It's been a waste of a season for Alcaraz. He ended last season as our main goal threat and has been reduced to next to no minutes or trust from the manager this season.
A player who wants to make an impact on the game rather than a percentage footballer. He is prime to be sold in the summer.

He should be playing up front. At least give him a run up top… it can’t be any worse!!!

Perhaps he won't discuss a contract extension, or maybe he fell on his sword on the way to the changing rooms.
