Sunderland’s summer window is gathering pace after a solid top-flight return, with fresh claims around potential exits and ambitious targets.

The Sun reports that Chelsea and Liverpool are monitoring goalkeeper Robin Roefs after his standout first season, with Sunderland said to want around £50million. The 23-year-old joined from NEC Nijmegen last summer for an initial £9million.

Lutsharel Geertruida is expected to return to RB Leipzig after his loan, with Sunderland not anticipated to make the move permanent. Liverpool have previously been linked, with Arne Slot having worked with the Netherlands international at Feyenoord.

Everton are also reportedly tracking Geertruida ahead of a possible bid. Leipzig are believed to want more than £20million, and Everton could test that valuation.

In midfield, Sunderland have again been linked with Napoli’s Frank Anguissa. Areanapoli suggests the Serie A club would be unlikely to sell for less than €20million, roughly £17.4million. The 30-year-old, who turns 31 later this year, would be a high-impact but costly addition.
