Chelsea could look to get involved in a deal for Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko if they miss out on other targets according to The Guardian.

The Blues have already secured the signing of Liam Delap for £30m, but the club are still looking for a centre back and right footed winger.

Chelsea face a critical summer and could look to sell as many as seven or eight players to fund their business with a number of squad players now surplus to requirements.

Chelsea could get involved in Benjamin Sesko deal

A striker is the main priority this summer and with Delap through the door the question now is whether Chelsea will look to sign another striker.

Ipswich are keen to take Marc Guiu on loan, whilst Nicolas Jackson has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Chelsea have previously been linked with Sesko, but it appears Arsenal have now identified the 22-year-old as their primary target and are looking to close a deal.

However, The Guardian have reported the Blues could still try to get involved in a deal for Sesko if they were to miss out on other targets.

Sesko is believed to have a release clause of €80m in his contract and scored 21 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions this season.

Ekitike another target

Hugo Ekitike is another name Chelsea have been linked with and Frankfurt are said to want €100m for one of their star players.

The Blues are said to hold an advantage over Liverpool in the race for Ekitike, and the France under-21 international scored 22 goals this season, but looks set to leave the Bundesliga outfit.

Strasbourg’s Emanuel Emegha, who scored 14 Ligue 1 goals this season is another name mentioned, and Fabrizio Romano believes Chelsea could reach a pre-agreement for the striker this summer to join the club in 2026.
