Chelsea have received a huge boost ahead of domestic football returning this weekend after the international break.
England play tonight and there are still some other games left to play, but this very early international break that arrived just three games into the domestic season, is close to ending and focus is about to return to Chelsea again and the domestic football leagues! Thank God!
It’s been very dull as always, although there has always been something going on and something to read or chat about.
This morning it has all been about Blues defender Axel Disasi, who is now in the Chelsea ‘bomb squad’ once again.
Disasi was apparently excited to be rejoining Monaco in the summer and a move there was all set to happen. But Chelsea’s bad planning meant that they had used all their foreign loan spots and this move was unable to go ahead.
But now Disasi is apparently looking to prove himself to manager Enzo Maresca despite being in the bomb squad, and is hoping to get a chance to make it back into the first team squad under the Italian coach!
I don’t see the above happening for one minute, by the way, especially now Benoit Badiashile is also back in training…
Benoit Badiashile and Romeo Lavia back in training this week after injury lay offs
As well as Badiashile, Romeo Lavia was also spotted back in full training on the grass with the first team group yesterday after his latest injury in what will be a huge boost ahead of domestic fixtures returning this weekend.
Neither will be expected to play or feature this Saturday when Chelsea take on Brentford in the Premier League, but it will be a big boost for all at the club to see these two back regardless.
