Chelsea Football Club have apparently made an offer to sign a very popular Italian international centre back.

This is a move that would be hugely well received by an entire fan base of Chelsea, but is there any truth to it? We’ll look into it further below and make a verdict.

Chelsea have reportedly had a £50m bid rejected for Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni.

Gazzetta dello Sport claim the Blues have moved to sign the Italian defender but have been knocked back in their attempts.

Is there any truth to this?

The source is not a great one so take it with a pinch of salt. Most other reports are saying Chelsea will not be signing a new centre back. However, Enzo Maresca has publicly said he wants a new one and to be honest, I believe they will be looking for one but likely keeping it on the down low.
