Chelsea have two nominations in the August monthly awards for the Premier League after a decent start to the season.

The Blues stuttered against Crystal Palace at home on the opening day but since then, they have been superb and got some very good results.

Chelsea have only played London clubs so far and that continues into their next match against Brentford as well. So Chelsea will not face a team outside of London until mid-September, I wonder if that has ever happened to us or any other London team before! Of course it’s extended due to the fact we are now in an international break so there are no league games this coming weekend.

But anyway, Chelsea have mostly started well this season so far and are unbeaten. They’ve picked up some big results and scored a decent amount of goals so far.

Chelsea have a player nominated for the Premier League August Play of the Month, and they also have a manager nominated for Manager of the month.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca has just been confirmed as a nominee for the Premier League’s manager of the month award, joining Joao Pedro who has already been nominated for the player’s version of the award for August.

Blues must continue this momentum

I bet Chelsea would have preferred to not have this international break right now so that they could keep this momentum going and keep the results coming rather than having to stop and let teams regroup and go again next weekend.

Pedro will be hoping that his incredible form can continue as well this the season because he has been superb and had a great start to life at Chelsea.
