Chelsea held to a draw by Hull at Stamford Bridge | OneFootball

Chelsea took the lead early before falling behind at home to Fulham with João Pedro levelling the score in the second half.

The Blues took the lead in just the seventh minute of the game following a Hull City corner with Morgan Rogers receiving the ball from the Brazilian before firing low and beating Kostas Tzolakis at the near post.

After going behind Hull scored two goals in the space of six minutes to take a first half lead with Mohamed Belloumi bagging both.

The equaliser came in the 28th minute when Jorrel Hato misjudged a cross from the left allowing the Algerian to fire home. Shortly after Chelsea failed to deal with a Hull corner that came to Belloumi whose effort found the net via a deflection.

Reece James came close to levelling the score early in the second half when his freekick bounced off the post before Chelsea's second eventually arrived when Cole Palmer pulled the ball back for João Pedro to fire into the roof of the net in the 66th minute.

The home side wanted a penalty late on when Estêvão's attempted cross from the left was deflected by the arm of Semi Ajayi who survived both the referee's on-field decision and VAR to get away with a potential handball.

Instead, the game finished 2-2 with Hull City no doubt delighted for another point as they continue to impress early in their promoted season.
