Chelsea’s interest in AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, 22, may be waning, Onze Mondial reports.

It follows RMC Sport reporting Chelsea’s interest in AS Roma midfielder Manu Koné, while L’Équipe points to another “priority” midfield target.

Chelsea had looked to be closing in after talks with Monaco late last week, but Onze Mondial says those discussions have not advanced.

Monaco have been insistent about keeping the Senegal international, a stance set out by CEO Thiago Scuro on Friday and then reinforced by head coach Luís Filipe on Sunday night.

Filipe said he hopes to keep Camara, described him as unbelievable and elite, and cautioned that anything could still happen before the window closes, with everyone at the club hoping he stays.
