PSG could be dipping into the English market after playing several Premier League clubs in 2025: Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Among the players linked to the capital club is Crystal Palace standout Adam Wharton. Recently, TBR Football reported that Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United have all been keeping a close eye on Wharton as he continues to progress.

If Wharton opts for a move, demand from abroad is likely to be strong. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and PSG are each said to be following the young playmaker’s situation closely.

Recently, Mirror Football reported that Wharton wants to play in the Champions League for his next club.

He is currently Manchester United’s top transfer target, but with Ruben Amorim at the helm, the club’s chances of qualifying for Europe’s elite competition appear slim. Moreover, for PSG’s case, they are a regular contender in the Champions League with Luis Enrique at the helm.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Chelsea are shaping recruitment plans for 2026 with a strong focus on adding depth in midfield, aiming to reduce the demands on Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.

Chelsea have already been linked with a potential move for Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo. Amid ongoing rumors about Wharton, TEAMtalk’s Steve Pearson recently shared his thoughts on where the midfielder should head if the player decides to leave after the 2025-26 season.

“If Wharton is the type of man who doesn’t look beyond Tuesday, the answer is Liverpool,” Pearson wrote. “If he’s more forward-thinking – and everything we’ve seen so far suggests he’s an old head on young shoulders – then it really is a no-brainer, join Manchester United.

“Wharton is already a fine player but at 21, he’s not close to hitting his ceiling. To ensure his development continues at a rapid rate, and to ensure he can go from Premier League star to world-class superstar, he MUST play 90 minutes, week in, week out. That cannot happen at Anfield, given the presence of Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister.”
