Marc Guiu is closing in on an exit from Chelsea, with Napoli among the teams vying for his signature before the transfer deadline.

Standard Sport understands that Guiu is currently weighing up three options, with clubs in Italy, Spain and Germany all interested in signing the 20-year-old either on loan or permanently.

Napoli are looking at a permanent deal for Guiu, who scored three goals in 16 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea last season.

The Serie A club - who are signing Blues defender Benoit Badiashile on an initial season-long loan - also hold an interest in fellow Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, but have been put off by his £65million valuation.

Guiu, who joined Chelsea from Barcelona for £5m in 2024, is valued at around £25m despite struggling for minutes since arriving at Stamford Bridge.

The La Masia graduate is not in new manager Xabi Alonso’s first-team plans this season and was not given a shirt number by Chelsea ahead of their opening Premier League game against Fulham on Monday night.

Chelsea are looking to trim their squad heading into the final week of the transfer window, and are open to selling Jackson, Guiu and Liam Delap as Alonso finalises his attacking options.

Jackson has interest from a host of clubs, including Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid. Delap, meanwhile, has interest from Everton, Nottingham Forest and former club Ipswich.

Serie A club Como are also said to want the 23-year-old, having already signed Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea in this window.

Despite him scoring just two goals across all competitions last term, Chelsea have placed a £50m price tag on Delap as they look to make a profit on the £30m they spent to beat Manchester United to his signature last summer.

It is also understood that Ipswich inserted a sell-on clause into the deal for Delap last year.

Chelsea will go into the new campaign with Joao Pedro as their first-choice striker.

The Brazilian has been in fine form since signing from Brighton last summer and has been rewarded with a new long-term contract until 2034, which includes a pay rise and improved terms.

He has also taken on the No9 shirt that was worn last season by Delap, who is now Chelsea’s No12.
