Chelsea defender Malo Gusto is expecting a ‘completely different’ game against PSG tonight compared to the Club World Cup.
Chelsea breezed past PSG in the summer to lift the CWC trophy, and many of us were surprised just how easy it was for The Blues in the end. Of course, massive credit must go to Enzo Maresca and the players for winning it and playing so well on the day, but PSG were also very easy to beat and were very poor.

But Gusto does not think we will be seeing that tonight, and then in the return leg back at Stamford Bridge, from a PSG side who will surely be looking to get revenge on the English club and advance to the next round of the Champions League.
It’s going to be a very tough match for both teams I think, and a very tough one to call either way. It will either be super tight and super close, or it will be a bit of a drumming for one team.

In words cited on X, Gusto said yesterday ahead of the PSG game tonight:
“I think tomorrow will be completely different [to the Club World Cup final] as a contest. This is the Champions League, so it’s very different [type of game] and it’s a completely different competition.”
One move that will definitely be made in the summer is arrival of Geovany Quenda to Chelsea from Sporting for around £18m – and there are already plans in place for him.
Luis Enrique took his PSG press conference yesterday, and he previewed tonight’s Champions League game by speaking a lot about Liam Rosenior’s style of play.
