Chelsea put €87m price tag on Manchester City target Malo Gusto | OneFootball

Manchester City are reported to have expressed an interest in signing Chelsea’s Malo Gusto (23), according to RMC Sport. Other top clubs have also made enquiries.

However, prising the French full-back away from Stamford Bridge is not set to be a straightforward task. Whilst the Blues’ management appear open to parting ways with the player, they are reportedly demanding a fee of around €87m to finalise any potential deal.

This figure is considered far too high by many clubs, who are unwilling to meet the London side’s demands. But the situation could change before the transfer window closes.

PSG, once mentioned among the clubs interested in Gusto, are reportedly not in the market for a right-back, as the signing of Lucas Digne (33) is expected to be made official in the coming days; he is set to arrive as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi (27).

Having joined Chelsea from Olympique Lyonnais in the summer of 2023, Gusto has gradually established himself as a key member of the Blues’ squad. Making 56 appearances across all competitions last season, the French international (13 caps) contributed three goals and seven assists during the campaign.
