EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea make contact for PL midfielder and have list of SEVEN midfield names ahead of summer window!

This morning, we covered a story suggesting that Chelsea were now advancing to sign Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez in the summer after holding positive talks with his reps last week.

Meanwhile, The Blues could sell Benoit Badiashile in the summer, with the centre back now being declared as out of the Chelsea project going forward.

So there is plenty that could go on in the summer, and a new centre midfielder is something that could be targeted for Chelsea as well given the consistent injury issues that Romeo Lavia is going through right now.

Chelsea in for Stankovic?

Arsenal and Chelsea are among the clubs in the mix to sign Club Brugge’s Aleksandar Stanković in the summer.

That’s according to Het Laatste Nieuws, who cover Arsenal and Chelsea in a report on the midfielder.

According to the newspaper, the two London clubs are in contact with both Club Brugge and Roc Nation, the agency that manage Stanković.

Buyback could be a problem

Former club Inter Milan have a buyback clause for Stankovic of €23m valid between June 1st to 15th. This could mean that they have the drop on signing him, creating issues for both Chelsea, Arsenal, and any other suitor who might be looking at him in fact – Dortmund are also named as an interested club.

But if Inter decide not to use the clause, then other clubs will be able to come in and sign him in the summer window, with his club open to selling for the right price.
