As reported by Sergio Santos and Toni Juanmartí at Relevo, Chelsea will increase their offer for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Chelsea are interested in signing the Gabonese international as a replacement for Timo Werner, who left the club to join RB Leipzig earlier this month.
According to Relevo, The Blues discussed a possible fee of €14 million with Barcelona to acquire the services of Aubameyang.
However, it appears as though the Blaugrana are sticking to their €30 million asking price and Chelsea are expected to submit a formal offer soon.
Yesterday it was communicated that Manchester United have entered the race to sign the 33-year-old, but they haven’t made a formal offer either.
With Manchester United and Chelsea both showing interest in signing Aubameyang, it is very unlikely that Barcelona will lower the striker’s price tag.
Even though the Catalan outfit are looking at ways to lower their wage bill, the sale of Aubameyang is not a priority as he is part of Xavi’s plans.
