Wesley Fofana has been handed 300 hours of community service after pleading guilty to some insane driving on the A3.

The Chelsea defender weaved between cars and into the hard shoulder, well above the speed limit, in dashcam footage taken in April of this year. It’s not a one off incident – he already had a two year disqualification from driving for EIGHT previous speeding offences.

Idiotic Fofana deserves everything he gets for dangerous driving

““You obviously realise there are a lot of young people who look up to you and they would like to be like you and follow you. That’s part of the whole gig,” district judge Julie Cooper told him in court.

“You need to be much more responsible about your behaviour.”

We’ve had a lot of sympathy with Fofana on a personal level after his endless injury problems, but all that goodwill has evaporated after seeing this. This is just insanely dangerous and stupid, and clearly isn’t a one off. It’s flagrant disregard for the safety of others, and of the rule of law. Imagine how many times he’s done something similar and it hasn’t been caught on camera. Eight speeding offences and now this just screams of a mentality of “I’m rich, the rules are for the poor.”

Let’s hope those 300 hours of litter picking give him a chance to think about how to act.
