Blues make concrete move to sign Lamine Camara amid interest in Manu Kone
Chelsea have made a £38.5million bid for Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara as they search for a replacement for Enzo Fernandez.
Manchester City are working on a deal to sign Fernandez from Chelsea, who have been working on a replacement.
While Camara is understood to be interested in a move to Chelsea, Monaco are understood to be holding out for a bigger fee.
However, Roma are desperate to keep hold of the 25-year-old.
The Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini said on Monday that he and Roma are unprepared to lose Kone and that talk of interest from Chelsea is “a media thing”.
However, Standard Sport understands there have been concrete talks between Chelsea and the player’s camp as well as Roma, just as with Camara’s representatives and also Monaco.
