Chelsea have placed a near nine-figure valuation on Pedro Neto as interest intensifies, with Al-Hilal understood to be pushing hardest for the winger.

Chelsea are said to have raised their valuation after recent market moves, pointing to Real Madrid’s deal for Yan Diomande, worth up to £120m, and the steep figures around Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola, a Liverpool target.

Reports suggest Neto has approved a switch to Al-Hilal, agreeing personal terms privately. The Riyadh club are ready to offer about €60m (£51m), which falls well short of Chelsea’s stance.

Neto’s representatives have not commented publicly. Any sale would leave Chelsea with limited time to source a replacement before the deadline.

The development is a setback for Manchester City and Arsenal, who have monitored Neto for months. New Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca is keen on a reunion, having identified his former player as a primary target to add thrust to his attack.
