In a recent report, Football.London mentioned that Chelsea winger Pedro Neto is still generating interest from Saudi Arabia this month. It has been claimed that the Portuguese wide player is on the radar of Al-Hilal this summer.

Neto’s Impressive Form In English Football

Neto enjoyed a good run of form at the West London club in the previous campaign when he put in a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 26-year-old found the back of the net ten times and picked up ten assists in 52 appearances for the Blues last season across multiple competitions.

The Portuguese sensation is currently among the most talented wide players in the Premier League. Hence, Chelsea cannot afford to lose a player of his quality this summer.

His current contract at Stamford Bridge will run out in the summer of 2031. Hence, the Blues are under no pressure to cash in on him this month.

Should Chelsea Boss Xabi Alonso Cash In On Neto?

Neto is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and can even contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas when he is playing with confidence on the pitch.

The Portuguese talent is primarily a right-winger but can also serve as a left-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if asked to do so by his manager. He has proven himself at the highest level and is currently an important member of Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso’s match-day squad. However, the talented wide player has often struggled to start games regularly for the London club in recent seasons.

Therefore, the Blues simply cannot afford to lose someone of Neto’s skill set this month. Alonso would be better off keeping hold of him beyond this summer.

At 26, Neto has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him an irreplaceable member of Alonso’s squad. Therefore, Chelsea would be wise not to cash in on him this month as he could help them compete for some major trophies over the next few years.
