Chelsea’s new manager has been spotted walking the halls of the club’s training ground for the first time yesterday.

Liam Rosenior was officially confirmed as the new head coach of Chelsea Football Club yesterday in what was the most obvious appointment ever.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea in for Ivory Coast international winger!

It came after Chelsea decided to part ways with Enzo Maresca on New Years Day, a decision that would have likely come as a big shock to the unhappy players.

Once Maresca had left, it was so obvious as soon as Rosenior was linked with the role that it was going to be him. It was just such an easy transition to happen because he was already at Chelsea’s sister club, Strasbourg.

Not on the dugout tonight

Rosenior has began work as Chelsea manager now, but he will not be in the dugout tonight for their game against Fulham – it seems that this game has just come too early for him to take charge of and it will be interim boss Calum McFarlane who will be taking this one, as he did the last game against Manchester City.

As you can see above, Chelsea posted the first image of Rosenior at Chelsea’s training ground at Cobham last night as he gets used to his new surroundings.

The new Blues boss will take charge of his first game at the weekend, which happens to be an FA Cup Third round tie against Charlton on Saturday night.

Chelsea fans haven’t exactly been excited by this appointment, but let’s hope that they can get behind Rosenior and Chelsea can attempt to move forward with some needed sustained success now.
