Chelsea youngster Ryan Kavuma-McQueen delivered a magnificent performance in England U17s enthralling 7-5 win over Germany on Tuesday morning.Marwan Omir Mirza gave Germany the lead with a finish into the bottom corner, but England quickly restored parity through Manchester City midfielder Floyd Samba.Kavuma-McQueen then gave England the lead with a stunning strike in the 24th minute, shifting the ball onto his left foot just at the edge of the box before unleashing it to the far post.The Germans drew level four minutes later as Ahmad Nadji smashed the ball underneath goalkeeper Roman Dowell.VfB Stuttgart’s Ertugrul Yigit put Germany ahead for the second time in the game with a precise finish from inside the six-yard area. Kavuma-McQueen levelled the scores from the penalty spot before putting the Young Lions ahead in the first half stoppage time, sprinting into the box and firing a low shot across goal.Kavuma-McQueen was on the scoresheet again two minutes after the restart, applying a deft finish to club team-mate Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli’s lofted pass into the box.Isaiah Seretis was denied by Dowell from leveling the scores before Newcastle starlet Sam Alabi extended England’s lead on the hour mark, placing his shot under goalkeeper Leonard Prescott.Mirza pulled one back for the home nation, tapping the ball into an empty net after England had failed to clear their lines.Germany kept putting pressure on the Young Lions and were rewarded when Seretis won a penalty, which was converted by Mirza.However, the Young Lions scored the game’s final goal and secured the victory just before stoppage time through Leicester City’s Hugo De Lisle, who replaced Eric Farkas just after the break.
