Giorgio Chiellini has spoken about the Juventus squad this summer and believes they are a stronger unit than they were during the 2025/2026 season.

The men in black and white had some top players in their squad last term, but they did not manage to finish inside the top four and will have to do better this term.

They lost players such as Dusan Vlahovic, but they have also managed to secure the signatures of some top players for their manager, and he will be looking to ensure he makes the most of them.

Juve are considered one of the teams that can win the league this season, and they will have to improve on the performance they delivered last term.

Juventus aim for stronger campaign

They have some superb players who can help them achieve the results they want, and Chiellini has been a part of their recruitment drive this summer.

The club will now wait to see how all the players perform throughout the season, but the former defender is confident that Juventus have a much better team than they did last term.

His assessment comes as Juve look to improve on their previous campaign and compete more strongly for major honours.

The squad has undergone changes, and the club will hope the additions can provide the qualities that were missing last season.

Chiellini praises Juventus squad

Chiellini is confident in the work Juventus have done and believes the team now possesses greater strength and character.

He said via La Gazzetta dello Sport:

“Spalletti is a key asset, there’s the will to compete, but getting back to winning ways isn’t easy. It also depends on the other teams and injuries. We’re thinking about ourselves. We’ve added personality, solidity, those things that kept us from achieving significant results last year. Compared to last year, the team is stronger, and we’re ready.”

Chiellini’s comments reflect the confidence surrounding the squad ahead of the new campaign. Juventus will still face strong competition, but the former defender believes the team has addressed some of the weaknesses that prevented them from achieving significant results last season.

Spalletti will now be tasked with bringing the squad together and getting the best from the new additions as Juventus attempts to challenge for success this season.
