For Club Deportivo Guadalajara, its sense of belonging to the community has always been of vital importance, and it reflects this through the social responsibility work it carries out alongside Fundación Jorge Vergara (FJV). 2025 was a year in which the programs of both institutions moved forward with strength, resulting in resounding success.
Under the belief that “the path is in the heart” and with the commitment to do it “day in and day out,” as Don Jorge Vergara (RIP) preached, Chivas and FJV joined forces in five key initiatives.
Semillero Rojiblanco, launched in September 2023, aims to promote sports culture and healthy habits through soccer training for boys and girls aged 11 to 13 from 13 municipalities in Jalisco, using Chivas’ methodology and supervision. A total of 390 participants benefited from the program last year, with 16 selected to attend the next talent identification camp.
For Children’s Day, an unforgettable experience was organized for kids from the Pásala program at Educare facilities. During the event, children took part in team-building activities, physical circuits, educational games, and exercises designed to promote teamwork and mutual respect. Celebrating this day also means remembering that every childhood matters, that every smile is an act of resilience, and that every act of love can change a life.
With the support of the Omnilife-Chivas staff, the spirit of Christmas extended throughout the year: elderly people received gifts as a gesture of solidarity and unity, along with the renovation of the Casa Hogar and Comedor Niños en Victoria.
Another key initiative is the Sueña Chivas program, which provides unique experiences and opportunities to its participants. One of the highlights was the visit from the first Wikárika soccer school from Tuxpan de Bolaños, whose members stepped onto the pitch at Estadio AKRON, spent time with the Chivas Femenil squad, and presented a handmade ball from their community to Amaury Vergara.
The annual report of Fundación Jorge Vergara is now available HERE. Together with Club Deportivo Guadalajara, these actions will not only continue but will expand in favor of a healthier society.
