Chivas Femenil won convincingly, playing with flair and scoring freely in a 3–1 victory over León on Sunday morning at Estadio AKRON, as part of Matchday 6 of the Clausura 2026. It was a more than solid showing by the Rojiblancas, who preserved their unbeaten run in the tournament and reached 16 points, putting them firmly in contention for the top spot in the Liga MX Femenil standings.

The Rojiblancas faced one of their favorite opponents and secured their 20th win against the Esmeraldas thanks to a performance marked by cohesion, emotional control, and clinical finishing, allowing them to take a two-goal lead before halftime.

Although La Fiera managed to pull one back through a circumstantial play, the Rebaño Sagrado remained focused on making home advantage count. After adding a third goal, Chivas controlled possession and managed their players’ workload with an eye on what lies ahead in the women’s league.

Chivas Femenil will now turn their attention to their visit to the Centellas next Thursday, February 5, for Matchday 7.

Goals

- The ‘Empress’ opens her account! In the 17th minute, Cristina Ferral broke León’s resistance from a set piece, heading home a delivery from ‘Caro’ Jaramillo.

- A screamer from the ‘Commander’! In the 25th minute, a run down the right found Viridiana Salazar diagonally at the edge of the box. With her first touch, she assisted ‘Caro’, who struck a left-footed shot first time into the far post.

- The visitors pulled one back after Blanca Félix saved a penalty, but the rebound fell to Danya Gutiérrez, who tapped it in at the 65th minute.

- ‘Sam’ alert to the moment! In the 70th minute, the opposing goalkeeper saved a penalty from Alicia Cervantes, but the loose ball remained in the box and Samantha López was there to fire it home.

Key chances

- The post said no! In the 18th minute, the ‘Commander’ combined with Denise Castro outside the box, setting up Jaramillo’s curling left-footed shot that beat the goalkeeper but struck the post.

- In the 52nd minute, Ferral again threatened from a set piece, meeting a Yamile Franco cross at the far post and forcing a full-stretch save to deny her a brace.

- In the 74th minute, Adriana Iturbide met a cross from the left and snapped her header toward goal, but couldn’t place it accurately enough.

- So close, ‘Flash’! In the 86th minute, Montoya received the ball inside the box, cut inside, and lofted a shot over the goalkeeper that looked destined for a highlight-reel goal, but the post intervened and sent it wide.
