Exactly one week before the start of the Clausura 2026 in the women’s circuit, Chivas Femenil played their final tune-up match. On Sunday morning, El Rebaño faced León and fell 3–2 at the Sports Arena facilities.

The match was played in four 30-minute periods and opened with an early goal by the visitors, prompting Antonio Contreras’ side to push forward aggressively into the attacking third in search of an equalizer and to trouble Las Panzas Verdes. Chivas’ persistence paid off late in the second period, when Carolina Jaramillo controlled the ball inside the box and, with her trademark quality, chipped a finish to the far post to make it 1-1.

Guadalajara Femenil did not shy away from taking the initiative and continued to press for the go-ahead goal, which came from a set piece. Denise Castro stayed alert inside the area and, following a corner kick, sent the ball into the back of the net to put Chivas ahead 2-1. However, in the closing stages of the match, León struck twice, capitalizing on late opportunities to turn the score around and hand Guadalajara a 3–2 defeat.

Following this friendly, the Rebaño Femenil will continue their intense training sessions as they prepare to be in top condition for their Clausura 2026 debut, scheduled for Sunday, January 4, against Atlético San Luis at Estadio AKRON.
