Chivas put the final touches to their preseason on Isla Navidad with their first preparation match against Tapatío at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario, where this Friday night was a veritable Red and White party, as the Chivahermanos of the capital of Colima created a great atmosphere and gave their Rebaño a great show, which on the pitch was a 2-2 draw with the current Champions of the Expansion League.

The first few minutes of the match were a constant battle for control of the ball, which was focused mainly in the midfield. Chivas tried to circulate the ball in an attempt to advance meters, while the 'Tapa' tried to do damage with forward runs. The score was opened by Alan Pulido, who received a filtered pass inside the area, cut back to his marker and then coolly finished the ball before Montiel's diving save to send the ball into the cage.

The Rebaño Sagrado made the stands erupt again before the end of the first half, after Dani Aguirre took a long cross from his own half in search of Miguel Gómez, who with his control of the ball threw the goalkeeper off his line and then simply pushed it into the back of the net.

Tapatio sought to get closer to the scoreboard at the start of the second half, but Dani Flores cleared a Gibran Ortiz shot-cross on the goal line that had been pumped to the 'Dragon'. However, the Rojiblanca affiliate insisted and avoided the whitewash thanks to Daniel Villaseca, who made a penalty valid with a shot to the right that was impossible to save. Near the end of the second half, the top representative of the Cantera Rojiblanca equalized the score through Diego Latorre, who reached the far post to close the scoring.

Guadalajara will resume training next Monday at its usual venue in Verde Valle, prior to playing its next preparation matches in the Morelos Cup the following week.
