Chivas have had a slightly underwhelming season so far, currently sitting in 10th place after 11 Liga MX Clausura games.
Despite their erratic form goalkeeper Miguel Jiménez remains confident that Los Rojiblancos will climb up the table.
“The team is confident, with the game plan and what the coaching staff is asking of us,” the 32-year-old explained speaking with Chivas Tv.
“We are starting to play well and we can see that in training, but there is a little step still missing.
“The most important thing is the team on the field deserves to be there. We are very united and we all know where we want to be. Nobody likes to be in the position we are in in the table.
“This team deserves to be up there and we are working on it. We are one step away from achieving it.”
Chivas return to action next Saturday after their match against Rayados was postponed due to Akron Stadium’s field being in “poor condition”.
