Chloe Kelly has been exceptional since joining Arsenal, but the England forward is hungry for more success in her first full year at the club.

The 27-year-old spent six months on loan in North London last year before making her move permanent in summer.

Chloe Kelly’s high hopes for this season

After winning the Champions League and Euros in 2025 Chloe Kelly had a near-perfect year.

Despite Arsenal enjoying so much success last year the players, including Kelly, are hungry for more.

Speaking on Arsenal’s ‘Colney Carpool’, the former Manchester City star discussed her first Champions League title.

“It’s the best competition to play in. To win it was incredible but it makes you hungry for more success.” She said. “At this club we strive for greatness and we were able to do that last season, but this season we want more.

“I came here to find happiness and to win but it has exceeded my expectations. I’m really grateful to Arsenal and I have a lot more to give for this club.

Kelly was reportedly miserable at the end of her City career and the change of club was not just for more playing time, but for her mental wellbeing as well.

The start of this season has been far from ideal for Arsenal but they have plenty of time to turn their campaign around.

Inspiring year for Kelly

After such an impressive 2025, Chloe Kelly received her first Ballon d’Or nomination this year.

The Arsenal star finished fifth in the placings, with club teammates Mariona Caldentey and Alessia Russo finishing just ahead of her.

Kelly spoke about sitting in a room full of winners with one player in particular standing out to her.

“It was a special day surrounded by so many great players past and present. I was very grateful to be in and amongst such a talented room.” Kelly continued.

“Ronaldinho… he’s incredible. I remember watching clips of him as a young girl and to be in the same room as him just a few seats down, it was special.”

Kelly is now up for another major award, as she is the current favourite to win Sports Personality of the Year in 2025.

The winner of Sports Personality is announced on December 18th and Kelly is firmly in the driving seat to cap off her year with another win.
